Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Rat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and al Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newman has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. al Newman will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, al Newman!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rat closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Newman to the mat! Newman manages to get full guard.
Rat not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Rat feints and as Newman raises his hands in defense, Rat changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jim Rat just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Rat closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Rat scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Newman is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Rat can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
