The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baduk misses with the combination.
Filipovic tries to close the distance and clinch but Baduk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Baduk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Filipovic's waist but Filipovic gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Baduk off to one side.
Baduk tries to clinch up
and Filipovic cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Sergei Baduk has been cut.
Filipovic clinches up against the cage.
Baduk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Filipovic smiles and moves away.
A left lands for Filipovic.
Baduk closes the distance but Filipovic moves to the side
and Filipovic counters with a thumping low kick.
Baduk has his takedown stuffed
and Filipovic counters with a three punch combo that has Baduk backing up. Baduk nods at Filipovic to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergei Baduk. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Filipovic drops Baduk with a beautiful combination! Baduk stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Filipovic is looking for the KO!
