PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pulp Fiction (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eza Nahka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fiction comes to the cage accompanied by Mince Meat by Dangerdoom. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pulp Fiction!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Eza Nahka!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nahka checks a leg kick.
Fiction dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nahka. That did some damage!
Fiction throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Nahka bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fiction regains half guard, as Nahka was trying to land strikes.
Fiction looks like he's trying to stand up.

Nahka is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fiction defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nahka not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Fiction is looking to improve his position.

Nahka is trying to control. Fiction wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Nahka thows a huge punch but Fiction dodges it nicely.
Fiction is looking for a sweep. Nahka is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fiction throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Nahka throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Fiction was covering up waiting for the punch and Nahka finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fiction seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Nahka throws a big right hand that misses.
Fiction wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Nahka trying to control the position from guard on top but Fiction is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nahka trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Fiction lands a nice shot that snaps Nahka's head back.

Nahka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fiction paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fiction lands a nice leg kick that just misses Nahka's sensitive parts.

Nahka closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fiction to the mat! Fiction manages to get full guard.
Nahka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fiction works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Nahka drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fiction manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nahka has Fiction in his guard.
Fiction slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fiction wants to pass the guard but Nahka is keeping the position.

Nahka looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Fiction puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Fiction is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Nahka is looking for a sweep. Fiction is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Nahka is looking to get back to full guard here but Fiction has managed to pass to side control instead.
Nahka is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Nahka tries to reverse the position but Fiction maintains control.
Fiction looking to control but Nahka is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pulp Fiction will probably get the nod.

Nahka moves out of range of the strikes.
Nahka slips under a jab from Fiction.
Fiction stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fiction wants it to stay on the feet.
Fiction throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fiction swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fiction attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Nahka has a takedown stuffed.
Fiction bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nice sprawl there from Fiction as Nahka shoots in.
Pulp Fiction has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eza Nahka.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nahka tries for a takedown but Fiction sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Pulp Fiction is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nahka has managed to clinch.
Nahka takes an elbow to the temple.
Fiction prevents the takedown attempt.
Still in the clinch, Fiction scores with a nice short uppercut.
Fiction digs a right hand underneath Nahka's ribcage. Nahka let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Fiction lands a nice elbow.
Nahka is working for takedown but Fiction is calmly controlling the position for now.

Fiction gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Eza Nahka has been cut.
Fiction is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Fiction lands an elbow that stopped Nahka in his tracks for a moment.

Nahka drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fiction pulls his leg out and moves away.
Fiction feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Nahka's calf.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fiction works over Nahka's head and body with a nice combination.
Fiction cracks Nahka with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Nahka falls to his knees and Fiction doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
