Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Crusty Pelican (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck O Brian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chuck O Brian!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pelican keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
O Brian swings and misses with a hook to the body.
O Brian tries to clinch but Pelican is having none of it.
O Brian tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pelican was well out of range. Poor timing from O Brian.

Pelican looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Pelican drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pelican jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pelican slips nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pelican is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pelican stops O Brian from getting back to his feet.

O Brian tries to kick Pelican off but Pelican keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
O Brian wants to improve his position but Pelican is controlling well.

Pelican is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and O Brian defends it well.

O Brian looks like he's trying to stand up.

Pelican is sneakily working for an arm triangle but O Brian sees it coming and defends easily.
Pelican wants to take a breather but O Brian is having none of it.

Pelican is looking for a kimura here.
Pelican is breathing heavily.
O Brian is trying to stand up here but Pelican is controlling him well.
O Brian is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
O Brian tries to get to full guard but Pelican has control of the leg.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pelican passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for O Brian!
O Brian sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
O Brian is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
O Brian slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Pelican is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
O Brian controls Pelican momentarily but Pelican frees himself.

Pelican thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pelican shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as O Brian sprawls well. O Brian wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pelican gets slowly back to his feet.

O Brian throws out a loose jab but Pelican uses good head movement to avoid it.
O Brian throws a hook but Pelican avoids it easily.
O Brian lands a glancing blow to the side of Pelican's head.

O Brian looks to throw the jab but Pelican is out of range.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
O Brian throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
O Brian missing with a left hand there. Pelican was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Pelican shoots in looking for a takedown. O Brian tries to sprawl out of it but Pelican keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. O Brian manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
O Brian looks to land a left hand but Pelican moved out of range nicely.

It looks like Crusty Pelican has been cut.
O Brian misses with a jab, cross combination.

O Brian misses with a straight left.
O Brian connects with a single shot there.

Pelican is rocked!
The fighters circling - O Brian throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck O Brian dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Crusty Pelican's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Pelican dodges the punch combination from O Brian.
Chuck O Brian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

O Brian cracks Pelican with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. O Brian has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pelican to stand back up!
Oh Pelican is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
BOOM! O Brian lands a beautiful left hook that drops Pelican. Pelican tries to recover but O Brian is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Pelican lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
