The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samoan Warrior misses with a jab, cross combination.
Samoan Warrior throws a right hand that Ryohida ducks under and follows up with a left that Ryohida also avoids with ease.
Samoan Warrior tries to bum rush Ryohida with a series of wild strikes but Ryohida uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ryohida looks to score with a jab to the body but Samoan Warrior is just out of range.
Samoan Warrior throws a series of punches but Ryohida moves out of range.
Ryohida shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ryohida showed some decent athleticism there.
Ryohida working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Ryohida looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Samoan Warrior with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Samoan Warrior is staying active underneath Ryohida, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ryohida is really struggling to control Samoan Warrior but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Kazuhiro Ryohida has been cut.
Samoan Warrior connects with a superb combination that knocks Ryohida out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Samoan Warrior before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Ryohida!
