Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Kova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bai Run (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kova comes to the cage accompanied by Jääkärimarssi. Run has chosen Eye of the tiger as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kova lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Kova tries to close the distance and clinch up but Run swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kova tries to score a power double leg takedown but Run sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kova somewhat.

Kova closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Run did well to prevent Kova getting side control.

Run is trying to control but can't.
Run is trying to get back to full guard.

Run avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kova throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kova fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Run throws a head kick that Kova semi-blocks.

Kova gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kova drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kova lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Run backwards.

Kova pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Run throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Bai Run is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Run is breathing heavily.

Kova has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Run clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Kova is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Run knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Run for a finish.
The referee is taking a good look at Run as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Kova!
Run is taking damage to the body and head.

Run tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Kova escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Run gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kova rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Run moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kova is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Run can do to turn this around?

Kova shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Run as he avoids it easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Run throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kova fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Run, pushing him back against the cage.
Kova drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kova has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Run is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kova turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Kova goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Run rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kova's guard! Nice work there by Run!
Kova wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Run manages to pass to side control.

Run tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kova swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Run looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Kova is defending well. Run quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Kova has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Run celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
