Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frank Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yaveh Queraboh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Frank Potter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Potter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Yaveh Queraboh!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Queraboh shoots in for a double leg but Potter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Potter displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Queraboh.

Queraboh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Potter sprawls well initially but Queraboh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Queraboh is thwarting Potter's attempts to control the position.
Potter is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Queraboh is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Queraboh controlling the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Queraboh is keen to just control but Potter is a slippery customer.
Potter trying to control from the bottom.
Potter is looking to escape.
Potter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Queraboh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Frank Potter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yaveh Queraboh.

Potter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Queraboh tries to get to full guard but Potter has control of the leg.

Queraboh looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Potter has picked Queraboh up and slammed him! Queraboh can't keep hold of the triangle and Potter manages to pass to side control!

Potter has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Potter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Queraboh is trying to defend but Potter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Potter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Queraboh does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Potter has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Queraboh wants to hold on but Potter pushes him away.

and Potter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Potter.

Queraboh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Potter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Queraboh preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Queraboh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Queraboh is breathing heavily.
Potter trying to control the position from guard on top but Queraboh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Potter throws a big right hand that misses.
Potter trying to control but Queraboh is working from the bottom.

Potter wants to control from the top but Queraboh keeps moving.
Queraboh is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Potter tries to clinch but Queraboh is having none of it.
Queraboh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Potter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Queraboh did well to prevent Potter getting side control.
Queraboh is trying to stand.
Potter looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Potter stands up and beckons Queraboh to join him on the feet.

Potter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Frank Potter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Potter is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Potter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Potter is looking to land body kicks.
Frank Potter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Queraboh tries to close the distance and clinch but Potter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Queraboh throws a nice outside leg kick.

Potter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Queraboh, pushing him back against the cage.

Potter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Queraboh darts in and clinches Potter up against the cage.
Potter works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Potter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick by Queraboh misses

and Potter counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Potter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Queraboh is just riding it out for now. Potter eventually gives up the hold.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Potter connects with a nice short shot to Queraboh's temple.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Potter is pressing down on Queraboh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Queraboh is holding on for now.
Queraboh controlling the position well.
Potter wants to control but Queraboh is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Potter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Potter stands up from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Potter dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Potter circles away from the clinch attempt
and Potter counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Queraboh is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Potter makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Queraboh has Potter up against the cage in a clinch.
Queraboh fails to pull guard.
Queraboh is trying to maintain a safe position but Potter gets an underhook and turns Queraboh into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Queraboh is refusing to be controlled, as Potter sits in half guard.
Potter stops Queraboh from getting back to his feet.
Well, if Potter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Potter is trying to control the action in half guard but Queraboh is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Potter rushes Queraboh and presses him up against the cage.
Potter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Queraboh breaks the clinch.

Queraboh closes the distance and pushes Potter back into the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Potter misses with some punches.
Potter stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Potter tries to score a body lock takedown but Queraboh shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Queraboh pulls guard successfully.
Queraboh is pulling down on Potter's head. It's preventing any offense from Potter, at least for the moment.

Queraboh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Potter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Frank Potter showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Potter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
