Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Avtomat Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thorfinn Oden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oden has chosen Element Eighty-Pancake Land as his entrance music. Thorfinn Oden will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oden tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kalashnikov was well out of range. Poor timing from Oden.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Oden.
Oden attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Oden bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Oden postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Oden is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kalashnikov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oden is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Kalashnikov looks calm but he's in trouble here. Oden gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Kalashnikov is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Oden lets go of the hold and Kalashnikov can pop his arm back in it's socket.
