Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buff Bagwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason High (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jason High was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bagwell is defended easily by High.
Bagwell closes this distance looking for a takedown but High circles away.
High throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
High misses with a two punch combination.
High lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by High.

It looks like Buff Bagwell has been cut.
Bagwell blocks a head kick by High.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bagwell.

High feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bagwell's calf.
High tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Bagwell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows High to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Bagwell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bagwell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
High tries to land a sweep but no joy.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The fight stays on the outside here - High looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
High throws the kick towards the body but Bagwell avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
High fails with an attempt to clinch.

Bagwell has gone for a leg lock! High slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bagwell's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
High wants to stand but Bagwell has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
High wants to control from the top but Bagwell keeps moving.

High really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bagwell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bagwell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. High manages to get himself to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
High looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bagwell is one step ahead there.
Bagwell wants to pass the guard but High is keeping the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bagwell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but High manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bagwell has High in his guard.

High throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

High instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
High is looking to break free of the clinch but Bagwell has double underhooks.

High closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

High decides to stand back up. High steps back and let's Bagwell get back to his feet.

Jason High comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well High has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
