Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Teddy Ferguson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samuel Ripkin!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ripkin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ferguson's half guard.
Ferguson is looking to escape.
Ferguson wants to control the action here but instead Ripkin manages to pass to full mount!
Ferguson is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Ferguson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ferguson tries to get out of the position.
Ripkin looking to control but Ferguson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Ferguson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Ripkin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ferguson is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The fighters circling - Ferguson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A punch combination from Ripkin misses.
Ripkin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ripkin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ferguson avoids it really well and circles away.
Ripkin looks gassed!

Ferguson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ferguson is looking to take a break and control but Ripkin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ferguson tries to move to mount but Ripkin blocks the move with his legs.
Ripkin gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ferguson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Ripkin keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ferguson wants to control the pace but Ripkin is squirming around nicely.

Ferguson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The referee warns Ripkin that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Ferguson is landing with some decent strikes but Ripkin is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ferguson with shots to the head and body - Ripkin looks very uncomfortable down there.
BOOM! Ferguson connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Ferguson scoring with strikes but Ripkin is staying in there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A nice elbow there by Ferguson.


Ripkin is rocked!
Ferguson connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Ripkin is still in real trouble! Can Ferguson finish him?
Ferguson lands a big elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Teddy Ferguson dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ferguson connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Ripkin tumbling to the canvas! Ferguson pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Ripkin was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Teddy Ferguson!
