Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between GABRIEL MAMIC (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spencer Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MAMIC comes to the cage accompanied by Limp Bizkit - My Generation . MAMIC has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MAMIC shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fisher defends it nicely.
MAMIC is breathing heavily.

and MAMIC counters with a left and a right that stings Fisher.
Fisher paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fisher shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in MAMIC's guard.

MAMIC manages to escape and get back to his feet.
MAMIC swats away the attempt to clinch by Fisher.
MAMIC misses with a hook. Fisher ducked under it nicely.

Fisher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Fisher closes the distance and clinches up with MAMIC, looking for a takedown. Fisher pushes MAMIC against the cage but MAMIC circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fisher is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so MAMIC is just riding it out for now. Fisher eventually gives up the hold.

Fisher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. MAMIC swivels though and keeps the full guard.
