The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dude circles away from the clinch attempt.
Contreras III shoots in for a takedown but Dude shows good takedown defense.
Contreras III throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dude stuffs the takedown attempt from Contreras III. Contreras III gets slowly back to his feet.

Contreras III shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dude's guard.

Contreras III stands up and waves to Dude to follow him.

Contreras III closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dude did well to prevent Contreras III getting side control.

Contreras III shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dude defends it nicely.
Little Dude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vincent Contreras III.
Contreras III shoots in and drives through. Dude sprawls well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Dude moves in looking to clinch but Contreras III pushes him off.
Dude shoots and misses

so Contreras III counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Dude is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Contreras III is controlling him.
Contreras III would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Contreras III looks gassed!
Contreras III stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dude swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dude looking to hit a scissor sweep but Contreras III is one step ahead there.

Dude is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Contreras III is trying to control Dude's posture. Dude takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Contreras III! Dude is rotating here... this could be the end... Contreras III is out! Dude has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
