Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brock Letters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Vasconcelos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasconcelos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Letters.

Letters closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Letters lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Vasconcelos keeping moving, preventing Letters from controlling successfully.
Letters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vasconcelos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Letters content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Vasconcelos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Letters is controlling him.

Letters thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Vasconcelos has his foot on Letters's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Letters works his way back into a safe position though.
Letters pushing down on Vasconcelos's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Letters in particular looking to stall.
Letters wants to free his trapped foot but Vasconcelos is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Letters is trying to control. Vasconcelos wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Letters is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vasconcelos doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Letters.
Vasconcelos is pressing down on Letters's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Vasconcelos wants to stand but Letters is controlling the position.

Vasconcelos is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Letters has his hands clasped together but Vasconcelos extends an breaks Letters's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Vasconcelos.
