Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clinical CPW (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sepp Maier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maier has chosen Apaga mas não bate as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sepp Maier!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maier moves into the clinch successfully.
Maier jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as CPW walks away with a smile on his face. Maier gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
CPW swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
CPW looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Maier fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Maier looks for a takedown but CPW sprawls well.
Clinical CPW has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sepp Maier.
Maier shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with CPW but CPW pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maier shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Maier not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Maier is trying to work for a kimura but CPW is defending well.

Maier is working for a submission of some sort.
Maier has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
CPW regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Maier.
Maier working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Maier postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! CPW is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Maier, into his guard.

Maier is looking for a triangle but CPW pushes his legs off easily.
CPW won't allow Maier to get back to his feet.

CPW wanted to stand there but Maier had control of the position.
Maier looking for a sweep. Not yet Maier, not yet.

Maier looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maier has his foot on CPW's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. CPW works his way back into a safe position though.

Maier is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and CPW defends well.
Maier looks gassed!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
CPW wants to stand but Maier has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
CPW trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Maier looking for subs off his back but CPW has passed one foot through into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

CPW throws a series of punches but Maier avoids them all with ease.

Maier tries for a takedown but CPW sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Maier throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around CPW's waist but CPW gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maier off to one side.
Maier is trying hard to land a takedown here. CPW sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Clinical CPW has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sepp Maier.
Maier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
CPW looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Clinical CPW is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Maier has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Maier there as he acknowledges the shot.
Maier tries to clinch there but CPW circles away.

CPW throws a looping overhand right but Maier ducks down to avoid it.
Maier will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
CPW stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and CPW wants it to stay on the feet.
Maier misses with a takedown attempt - CPW sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Maier takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Maier is breathing heavily.
Maier closes the distance and clinches up with CPW, looking for a takedown. Maier pushes CPW against the cage but CPW circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Clinical CPW seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

CPW throws a solid leg kick but Maier takes the impact on his shin and smiles at CPW.
Clinical CPW is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
CPW lands a two punch combo.
Maier takes one to the chin there.
CPW swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but CPW avoids it really well and circles away.
No joy there for CPW, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Some wild striking there from CPW.
CPW defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Maier.
CPW lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by CPW.

Maier rushes CPW and presses him up against the cage.

Maier ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Maier no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
CPW is looking to stand up but Maier won't let him.

Maier had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. CPW defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clinical CPW dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


CPW lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Horrible takedown by Maier or perhaps it was just good defense by CPW which made him look bad.
CPW looks to score with a jab to the body but Maier is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maier shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says CPW as he avoids it easily.
CPW scores with a decent looking hook.

CPW lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Maier circles away quickly and effectively.
CPW lands a head shot.
CPW stuffs the takedown attempt from Maier. Maier gets slowly back to his feet.
Clinical CPW has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sepp Maier.
Maier walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Clinical CPW is winning the standup battle so far.
Maier slips a jab from CPW.

Nice takedown defense from CPW. No joy for Maier on that attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Maier.
CPW throws a one two combo.
CPW throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Maier shoots in looking for a takedown. CPW tries to sprawl out of it but Maier keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. CPW manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Maier shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Maier takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

CPW throws a right and a left that Maier avoids nicely.
CPW lands a body shot.
CPW throws a series of punches but Maier moves out of range.
Maier shoots for a takedown but CPW saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
CPW throws a right hand that Maier ducks under and follows up with a left that Maier also avoids with ease.
CPW misses with a wild combination.
CPW swinging wildly here.
