Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ronan Hollace!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Libby Face!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hollace throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hollace fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hollace takes one to the side of the head.
Hollace avoids the body shot from Face.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hollace.
Libby Face seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Face pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Face slaps away a takedown attempt from Hollace, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronan Hollace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hollace closes the distance and clinches up with Face, looking for a takedown. Hollace pushes Face against the cage but Face circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Face misses with a straight left.
Libby Face is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nice sprawl there from Face as Hollace shoots in.
Face tries to land a front kick but Hollace steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Face gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Face is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hollace trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Hollace drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hollace jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Face really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hollace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hollace drops back looking for a leg! Face is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Face manages to kick Hollace off! Hollace jumps back into Face's guard.

Face pushes Hollace off and gets back to his feet.
The fighters circle momentarily. Face darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

A decent looking cross lands there for Face.
Face throws a hook to the side of Hollace's head but Hollace sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hollace shoots in for a takedown but Face shows good takedown defense.
Hollace slips a jab from Face.
Hollace bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hollace is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Face.
Hollace shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hollace blocks a head kick by Face.
Hollace scores with a one two! Face had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Face throws a right hand that Hollace ducks under and follows up with a left that Hollace also avoids with ease.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nice uppercut there from Face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Libby Face dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Hollace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Face is fending him off so far but Hollace persists. Nope, Face circles away and we're back to standing.

and Hollace counters with a series of strikes. Face will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hollace shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Face pinned against the cage. Face gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hollace fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Face avoids it really well and circles away.

Hollace looks to land a right hand but Face moved out of range.

and Hollace counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Face's guard now.

Face wants to stand up but Hollace is controlling him.

Hollace prevents Face from standing back up.
Face is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronan Hollace dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hollace stands and throws Face's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Hollace is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Face is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Face can do anything to dispel that myth.
Face wants to get back to his feet but Hollace drags him back down.

Hollace is trying to get an arm triangle but Face is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Hollace is working to tighten is grip on Face's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Face has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Hollace is really squeezing tight and eventually Face passes out! Hollace breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
