Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nakht Nefer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenta Michinoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nefer comes to the cage accompanied by NILE - Sacrifice Unto Sebek. Michinoku is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Yamato Suite Four. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenta Michinoku!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michinoku thumps Nefer with a low kick.
Nefer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Michinoku sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nefer tries for a takedown but Michinoku sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nefer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nakht Nefer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nefer shoots for a takedown but Michinoku saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nefer throws a hook but Michinoku blocks it.
Nakht Nefer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Nefer or perhaps it was just good defense by Michinoku which made him look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nefer shoots in for a takedown but Michinoku shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Michinoku stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Michinoku wants it to stay on the feet.
Nefer jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Michinoku leaves Nefer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nefer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nefer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Michinoku's waist but Michinoku gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nefer off to one side.
Nefer shoots for a double leg takedown but Michinoku sprawls well. He's pushed Nefer's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Michinoku prevents Nefer from getting the reversal.
Michinoku wants to take Nefer's back here but Nefer is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Nefer tries to reverse the position but Michinoku maintains control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Michinoku is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Nefer knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Nefer for a finish.

Michinoku is trying to stick to Nefer's back but Nefer is turning into Michinoku. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Michinoku's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Nefer.
Nefer pushes down on Michinoku's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nefer lands a nice short elbow.

Nefer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Michinoku is just riding it out for now. Nefer eventually gives up the hold.
Michinoku tries to get to full guard but Nefer has control of the leg.

Michinoku is not content to let Nefer control the position.
Nefer wants to free his trapped foot but Michinoku is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Nefer is working for a kimura but Michinoku is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenta Michinoku dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nefer fails with the takedown

and Michinoku counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Nefer working for a triangle but Michinoku defends it easily.

Nefer has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Michinoku has passed into side control.
Nefer manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Nefer is working for a kimura here but Michinoku manages to reverse the position and he's now in Nefer's guard.

Nefer is trying desperately to improve position.
Nefer sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Michinoku wants to pass to mount but Nefer is defending the position.

Nefer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Nefer looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Nefer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nefer.

Nefer looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Michinoku has picked Nefer up and slammed him! Nefer can't keep hold of the triangle and Michinoku manages to pass to side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nefer is looking for a sweep.
Nefer prevents Michinoku from improving position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Michinoku tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Nefer is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Nefer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Nefer is pressing down on Michinoku's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenta Michinoku showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Nefer throws a lazy right hand but Michinoku sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Nefer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Michinoku manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Michinoku working for submissions but it's allowed Nefer to get to half guard.
Michinoku won't allow Nefer to pass to mount.
Nefer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are battling for position here. Michinoku manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Nefer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Michinoku is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nefer, into his guard.

Michinoku is pushing down on Nefer's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nefer is fighting to maintain full guard but Michinoku has managed to sneak the leg through.
Michinoku passes the guard and advances to mount!
Nefer manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Nefer wants to control but Michinoku passes into side.

Michinoku tries to move to mount but Nefer blocks the move with his legs.
Nefer is looking to reverse the position.

Michinoku is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nefer has escaped the position, nice work there.
Nefer is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Michinoku's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Nefer gets full guard.

Nefer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nefer looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Michinoku puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Nefer tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Michinoku has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Nefer gets back to half guard.
Nefer wants to get back to full guard.
Nakht Nefer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nefer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Michinoku must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Michinoku tries to free his leg and advance position but Nefer is retaining full guard.
Michinoku advances to half guard.
Nefer is looking for a sweep. Michinoku is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Nefer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Michinoku wants to pass the guard but Nefer is keeping the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nakht Nefer showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Michinoku has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
