The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ardonia swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Soprano ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Soprano uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ardonia.

Soprano lands a left and a right that send Ardonia crashing to the mat, dazed. Soprano thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like James Ardonia has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ardonia clinches up with Soprano and pushes him back against the cage.
Soprano stalls.
Soprano tries to circle away but Ardonia has him pinned against the cage.

Ardonia breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ardonia moves in looking to clinch but Soprano pushes him off.
Good standup being displayed there by Soprano as he connects with a hook.
A cross from Soprano lands.

Ardonia is rocked!

Soprano throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ardonia stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Soprano drops Ardonia with a beautiful combination! Ardonia stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Soprano is looking for the KO!
Ardonia is still on wobbly legs! Can Soprano finish him?
Soprano lands a nice shot to the body.
Ardonia seems to have recovered his senses.

Ardonia takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Soprano drops Ardonia with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ardonia looks back up at him and smiles so Soprano waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ardonia walks into a straight right hand from Soprano.
Soprano lands with a big left! Ardonia is wobbled badly! Soprano comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Ardonia to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
