Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lighting shoots in for a takedown but Rossi shows good takedown defense.
Lighting is looking to clinch but Rossi is avoiding it.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rossi.
Rossi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lighting fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rossi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lighting changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rossi tries to avoid it but Lighting manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rossi to the ground. Rossi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rossi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lighting's sensitive parts.
Lighting misses with a head kick.
Lighting uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Lighting stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rossi.
Rossi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lighting wants to clinch.
Lighting is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rossi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Lighting. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lighting tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rossi swivels and escapes.
Lighting fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rossi stuffs the takedown attempt from Lighting. Lighting gets slowly back to his feet.

Rossi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lighting throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rossi's waist but Rossi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lighting off to one side.

Rossi looks to land a combination but Lighting avoids it well.
Rossi moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Lighting falls off balance throwing a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Lighting shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rossi as he jumps to the side.
Rossi fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Lighting is breathing heavily.
Lighting misses with a few strikes there.

and Rossi counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lighting takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
George Lighting seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rossi cracks Lighting with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lighting takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rossi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Rossi throws a leg kick which misses Lighting's front leg but catches the back leg as Lighting tries to avoid it.
Lighting takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Lighting. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rossi.
Lighting is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rossi throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rossi lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rossi drops Lighting with a beautiful combination! Lighting stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rossi is looking for the KO!

Rossi connects with a solid leg kick.
Rossi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lighting.

Rossi digs a good body shot into Lighting's ribs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Rossi makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Rossi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rossi misses with a double jab.
Lighting wants to clinch but Rossi slips to the side
and Rossi counters with a nice leg kick.
Luiz Miller Rossi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rossi lands a hook that stumbles Lighting back into the cage. Rossi follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Lighting to the canvas! Rossi pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Lighting has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
