Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Khasm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix. The key to victory for David Jones has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khasm tried to score with a low kick but Jones checks it.

Khasm closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Khasm lands in his opponent's guard.
Jones wants to stand and escape but Khasm is having none of it.
Khasm looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jones postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Khasm can do anything to dispel that myth.
Khasm is pulling down on Jones's head. It's preventing any offense from Jones, at least for the moment.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Khasm wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it.
Khasm wants to improve his position but instead Jones has moved into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Khasm trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Khasm is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action.
Jones avoids the attempt from Khasm to control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Khasm is looking to get to half guard.
Khasm tries to hold on but Jones postures up.
Khasm is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Jones get's back to his feet.
Jones lands a right hook to the body.

Khasm closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Khasm lands in his opponent's guard.

Jones uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Jones misses with a wild combination.
Jones lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Kevin Khasm has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jones tries to bum rush Khasm with a series of wild strikes but Khasm uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Khasm walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Khasm throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Khasm off to one side.
Jones looks to land a combination but Khasm avoids it well.
Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones throws a hook but Khasm blocks it.
Jones lands a jab to Khasm's midsection.
David Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Khasm looks gassed!
Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Jones throws a series of strikes that have Khasm backpedaling.
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Khasm walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

That has opened up Kevin Khasm's cut even more.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones looks to land a combination but Khasm avoids it well.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Khasm.
Jones lands with a hook. Khasm tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Jones dominated that round.

Jones connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Khasm tumbling to the canvas! Jones pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Khasm was done - good stoppage!
