Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between S Dot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Spitwater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, S Dot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Spitwater!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dot scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Dot in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Spitwater is looking for a sweep.
Dot lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Dot connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Spitwater some visible discomfort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dot works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Spitwater looks gassed!

Dot is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Spitwater has escaped the position, nice work there.
Spitwater is looking to reverse the position.
Spitwater dodges the ground and pound from Dot.
Spitwater is looking to regain half guard here but Dot keeps moving and retains side control.

Dot looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Dot grinds an elbow into Spitwater's temple.
Spitwater tries to bench press Dot off him but Dot keeps the position.
Spitwater wants to control but Dot postures up.

Dot wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Spitwater, who protects the arm well.
Spitwater manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Dot looking for a guillotine here but Spitwater defends easily.

Dot manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Spitwater can't escape the position.

Dot working over Spitwater with some ground and pound. Spitwater looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Dot preventing the sweep.
Dot is looking to advance position but Spitwater has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Spitwater can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dot is looking to escape.
Dot is wriggling around trying to escape.
Dot slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Dot missing with punches from the bottom.
Dot gets full guard.
Dot lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Spitwater!
Dot lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Spitwater hang on?
Dot lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Dot has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dot is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Spitwater has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Spitwater swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Dot jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Spitwater is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Spitwater and Dot has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dot in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spitwater manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dot's best efforts.
Spitwater holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Dot frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
BOOM! Dot connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dot looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Dot lands with some strikes.
Spitwater is trying to escape the mount.
Dot fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dot putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!


Spitwater is rocked!

Dot is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Spitwater has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Spitwater!

Dot is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

S Dot dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Spitwater pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spitwater shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dot counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Dot shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dot was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dot has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Spitwater's face.
Spitwater is still in real trouble! Can Dot finish him?


It looks like Jimmy Spitwater has been cut.
Dot postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Spitwater badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Dot around the waist but Dot pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Dot is the winner by TKO! Dot jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). S Dot!
