PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frank White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Yacht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White's entrance music is Time 4 Sum Aksion. A fine choice. Raymond Yacht has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raymond Yacht!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White walks into a straight right hand from Yacht.
White tries to clinch there but Yacht circles away.
Yacht dodges the punch combination from White.
Yacht clobbers White with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
White slips under a jab from Yacht.
Yacht loads up on a big right hand but White slips the punch.
Yacht lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as White backs up against the cage.
Yacht misses with a wild combination.
Yacht lands a nice shot to the body.
Yacht misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Yacht misses with a few strikes there.
White moves out of range of the strikes.
Yacht throws a right and a left that White avoids nicely.
White blocks a low kick nicely.
Yacht throws a nice looking combination but White bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Yacht scores with a takedown into White's guard.
White looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yacht defends well.
White is trying to keep Yacht in close.
Yacht trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
White bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Yacht's guard.
Yacht is pulling down on White's head to control his posture.
White tries to free his leg and advance position but Yacht is retaining full guard.
White really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
White passes into half guard.
White thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

White is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
White passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Yacht!

Yacht holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as White tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
White is breathing heavily.
Yacht gets back to half guard.
Yacht blocking the ground and pound attempt from White.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yacht is looking to control White's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Yacht avoid being mounted?

Yacht pushes White off and gets back to his feet.
White bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Yacht gets a takedown into half guard.
Yacht wants to control but White is keeping him busy.

Yacht seems to be working for a kimura but White defends the submission attempt.

White tries to get to full guard but Yacht has control of the leg.
The fighters are battling for position here. White manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Yacht thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Yacht wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position.
Yacht trying to control but White is working from the bottom.
White throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
White can't keep his opponent in guard - Yacht advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
White slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
White looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Yacht decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Yacht tries to bum rush White with a series of wild strikes but White uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Yacht waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract White.
Yacht lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Good exchange - Yacht coming out on top.
No joy there for Yacht, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Yacht throws a lazy right hand but White sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Yacht throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice takedown defense from Yacht. No joy for White on that attempt.
Yacht misses with a series of wild punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raymond Yacht dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Yacht throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Raymond Yacht seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
White ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Yacht throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around White's waist but White gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yacht off to one side.
White lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
White stuffs the takedown.
Yacht moves into range and connects with a jab.
Frank White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
White goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Yacht misses with a series of wild punches.
Yacht throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and White counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by White.

White turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Yacht is looking to reverse the position.
White throwing shots but missing, from side control.
White tries to advance to mount but can't.
White throws a strike aimed at the side of Yacht's head but Yacht avoids it well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Yacht prevents White from improving position.
Yacht manages to work his way to half guard, despite White's best efforts.
White missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Yacht slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Yacht is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yacht swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Yacht trying to keep a closed guard but White is proving a slippery customer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
White trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Yacht pushes White off and scrambles back to his feet.
Yacht lands a jab.
White throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Yacht throws a series of punches but White avoids them all with ease.

and White counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Frank White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raymond Yacht.
Yacht trying to keep a closed guard but White is proving a slippery customer.
Yacht wants to stand and escape but White is having none of it.
Yacht working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from White.
White stops Yacht from standing up.

Yacht throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
White throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Yacht works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Yacht pushes White off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

White clinches.
White tries to pull guard but Yacht won't allow it.
Yacht drops to a knee looking for a takedown but White gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Yacht's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
No luck with that takedown attempt from White.
White misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice sprawl there from Yacht as White shoots in.

Yacht looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Yacht is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Yacht is thwarting White's attempts to control the position.
Yacht works his way into side control.
Yacht tries to advance to mount but White denies him.
White is looking for a sweep.

Yacht has hold of White's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! White tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Yacht cranks the arm and White screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from White, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Raymond Yacht!
