The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Hanson finds it's target.
Vasquez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hanson swivels and escapes.
Vasquez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hanson sprawls well. Hanson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vasquez gets slowly back to his feet.
Hanson slaps away a takedown attempt from Vasquez, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Vasquez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hanson throws a right and a left that Vasquez avoids nicely.
Vasquez closes the distance and clinches up with Hanson, looking for a takedown. Vasquez pushes Hanson against the cage but Hanson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hanson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Vasquez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hanson defends it nicely.
Hanson throws a right and a left that Vasquez avoids nicely.
Vasquez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hanson pinned against the cage. Hanson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Vasquez shoots in but no luck this time.

Hanson connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Vasquez tumbling to the canvas! Hanson pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Vasquez was done - good stoppage!
