Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank The Lie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Irvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank The Lie !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Irvin!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Lie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Irvin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Irvin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The Lie squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Irvin is working for a guillotine from mount but The Lie frees his head quite easily.
The Lie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Irvin on the ground.

Irvin is going oldschool here, as he tries to force The Lie to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so The Lie shrugs it off.
You get the feeling that The Lie really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Irvin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but The Lie is surviving well by controlling Irvin's body position as best he can.

Irvin looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The Lie is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Lie somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

Irvin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Irvin lands in his opponent's guard.
Irvin won't allow The Lie to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The Lie avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The Lie throws a head kick but Irvin moves out of range.

Frank The Lie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Irvin.

The Lie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Irvin shoots in for a takedown but The Lie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
The Lie fails to land with a series of punches.

Irvin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

The Lie has his feet on Irvin's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
The Lie is breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Irvin looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The Lie squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Irvin jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but The Lie manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The Lie is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Irvin asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The Lie explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Josh Irvin dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


The Lie throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Horrible takedown by Irvin or perhaps it was just good defense by The Lie which made him look bad.
The Lie connects with a single shot there.
The Lie throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
The Lie misses with a head kick.
The Lie throws a right and a left that Irvin avoids nicely.

The Lie keeping moving, preventing Irvin from controlling successfully.
The Lie is looking to stand up but Irvin isn't so interested in that idea.
The Lie trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Irvin drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Irvin as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! The Lie screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Irvin! Nice submission victory there!
