The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricard throws a head kick that misses.
Frank Ricard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ricard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pierre circles away.
Ricard tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pierre paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ricard rushes Pierre and presses him up against the cage.
Ricard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ricard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ricard stands and steps away. Pierre gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ricard looks to land a combination but Pierre avoids it well.
Pierre lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ricard backs up against the cage.

Ricard misses with a kick to the body.
Ricard swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pierre counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ricard tries to clinch but fails miserably

Ricard takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ricard looks gassed!
Ricard throws a lazy head kick
and Pierre counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Ricard! This one is all over!
