Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dzevad Poturak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poturak has chosen Janičar as his entrance music. The key to victory for Joe Clark has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dzevad Poturak!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poturak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Poturak is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Clark has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Poturak has control of Clark's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Clark regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Clark sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Poturak's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Poturak has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Clark is working away from the top position though.
Poturak wants to improve his position but Clark is controlling well.
Poturak is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Clark's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Clark's back!

Poturak postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Clark is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Poturak, into his guard.

Poturak is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Clark pulls his head out easily.
Poturak is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Clark tries to pass the half guard into mount. Poturak knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Poturak is looking for a sweep. Clark is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Poturak drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Poturak is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Clark is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Clark has escaped and now he's on top!

Poturak throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Clark escapes and throws Poturak's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That was a close second round but I would say that Joe Clark will probably get the nod.

Clark throws a combination. Poturak tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Poturak shoots in looking for a takedown. Clark tries to sprawl out of it but Poturak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Clark manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Clark throws out a loose jab but Poturak uses good head movement to avoid it.

Poturak is trying to drag Clark to the mat but Clark just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
