Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kimmo Kivipaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kivipaa comes to the cage accompanied by Kivipää. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kivipaa lands an overhand right.
It looks like Roger Silva has been cut.
No joy there for Kivipaa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva connects with a solid leg kick.
Silva lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Silva ducks under a wild hook from Kivipaa.
Kivipaa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kivipaa manages to avoid it.
Kivipaa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kimmo Kivipaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Silva.
Silva loads up on a big right hand but Kivipaa slips the punch.
Kivipaa ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kivipaa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Silva.
Silva fails to land the takedown.
Silva takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kivipaa pinned against the cage. Kivipaa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Silva is trying desperately to land a takedown but Kivipaa is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Silva.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silva is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kivipaa has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kivipaa!
Silva is looking for a triangle but Kivipaa pushes his legs off easily.

Kivipaa decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Silva, up you get!

Silva is just content to waste time from the top position. Kivipaa takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

and Silva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kivipaa!

Silva goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kivipaa is on top in guard.
Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kivipaa wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Kivipaa sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kivipaa lands with a big left! Silva is wobbled badly! Kivipaa comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Silva to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
