Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Clay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bill Clay looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bill Clay!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clay moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Clay throws a head kick but Jenkins moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Clay.
Good leg kick by Jenkins there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Clay looks gassed!

Jenkins drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Clay is looking for a sweep.
Clay is letting Jenkins control him for a moment.
Jenkins has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Jenkins content just to control the position here.
Jenkins scoring with strikes but Clay is staying in there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenkins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Clay for as long as he can get away with.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Arthur Jenkins just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Clay misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jenkins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Clay drops his hands momentarily and Jenkins takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Bill Clay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clay misses with a head kick.

Jenkins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Clay's guard.
Jenkins is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jenkins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clay has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jenkins has managed to get both his arms back between Clay's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jenkins gets to his feet - Clay follows without any prompting.

Jenkins throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Jenkins pivots, looking for a leg kick but Clay is out of range and Jenkins settles back down.
Jenkins throws a body kick that misses.
Clay throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Jenkins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Clay sprawls well initially but Jenkins persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jenkins seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Jenkins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jenkins stands up and beckons Clay to join him on the feet.

Clay fails with an attempt to clinch.
Clay avoids the head kick by Jenkins.
Clay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jenkins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jenkins pushes Clay up against the cage in a clinch.
Clay tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jenkins smiles and moves away.
Jenkins tried to score with a low kick but Clay checks it.
Jenkins lands with a hook. Clay tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jenkins throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Clay checks the leg kick.
Clay takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jenkins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arthur Jenkins dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Jenkins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Clay throws a head kick but Jenkins moves out of range.
Jenkins tried to score with a low kick but Clay checks it.

Jenkins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jenkins showed some decent athleticism there.

Jenkins decides to stand and escape the position.

Jenkins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Clay to the mat! Clay manages to get full guard.
Jenkins advances to half guard.
Jenkins takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Clay is pressing down on Jenkins's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Jenkins stays in close to Clay's body and controls the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jenkins is in close to Clay's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Clay is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jenkins is controlling him.

Jenkins stands up from Clay's guard - Jenkins perhaps looking for a knockout.
Clay misses with a straight right.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jenkins closes the distance and clinches.

Clay gets control of Jenkins's arms and successfully pulls guard. Clay will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Clay is looking for a triangle but Jenkins pushes his legs off easily.

Jenkins stands and steps away. Clay gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jenkins lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Clay moves out of range of the body kick from Jenkins.

Clay gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jenkins to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Jenkins wants to control from the top but Clay keeps moving.
Jenkins stands and throws Clay's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Clay is looking to regain half guard here but Jenkins keeps moving and retains side control.

Clay wants to get back to his feet but Jenkins drags him back down.
Jenkins remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Clay has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jenkins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
