PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Durell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bader Cier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cier has chosen Elephant Man ft. Ding Dong - Dip Again as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michael Durell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bader Cier!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cier moves away.
Cier tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Durell misses with a wild combination.
A telegraphed right hand from Durell misses the target.
Durell swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Durell looks to score with a jab to the body but Cier is just out of range.
Cier is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Durell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cier.
Cier tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Durell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cier throws a combination. Durell tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Michael Durell has been cut.
Durell fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Durell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cier closes the distance and lands a one-two.
An inside leg kick lands from Cier.
Durell misses with a looping right.
Durell is breathing heavily.
Cier slips under a jab from Durell.
Cier will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Durell throws a lazy right hand but Cier sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cier avoids the body shot from Durell.
Cier blocks a jab.
Durell digs a good body shot into Cier's ribs.
Cier bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Durell is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Cier's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Cier steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Durell.

Cier forces Durell back against the ropes and clinches.
Durell has had enough of the clinch but Cier keeps him there for the moment.

Cier pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cier lands with a kick to the temple. Durell shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Durell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Durell throws a combination that misses
and Cier counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Durell drops his hands momentarily and Cier needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Durell just on the top of the head. Durell drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Durell - he's done!
