Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and dick fitswell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from fitswell.
fitswell wants to clinch up but Collins keeps it at a distance.
Collins dives in and grabs fitswell's left leg, looking for a takedown. fitswell pushes down on Collins's head and hops out.
Collins avoids the body shot from fitswell.
Collins misses with a looping right.
fitswell tries to close the distance and clinch but Collins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Collins tries to free his leg and advance position but fitswell is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Collins slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Collins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down fitswell for as long as he can get away with.

Collins got a little sloppy there for a moment and fitswell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Collins has managed to get both his arms back between fitswell's legs - danger averted.

Collins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but fitswell is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Collins tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Collins content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
fitswell is trying to improve his position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Collins counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
fitswell has control of Collins's left arm, preventing Collins from doing any damage.

Collins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Collins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Collins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that fitswell can do to turn this around?

fitswell looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Collins stands and throws fitswell's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Collins is working to tighten is grip on fitswell's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. fitswell has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Collins is really squeezing tight and eventually fitswell passes out! Collins breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
