The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Werdum fails with a takedown attempt.
Werdum shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hitachi as he jumps to the side.

Hitachi gets the takedown into side control.
Hitachi has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Hitachi looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Werdum tries to reverse the position but Hitachi maintains control.

Hitachi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Werdum can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Hitachi prevents Werdum from getting the reversal.

Werdum is trying to escape the mount.

Hitachi is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Werdum is forced to tap! Great finish!
