The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov is looking to clinch.
Petrov moves into range and clinches up with Baitzilla.

It looks like Patrick Baitzilla has been cut.
Baitzilla goes for a takedown attempt but Petrov pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Baitzilla has his foot on Petrov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Petrov works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Petrov leaves Baitzilla with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Petrov as Baitzilla shoots in.
Baitzilla tries to bum rush Petrov with a series of wild strikes but Petrov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Petrov throws a head kick but Baitzilla moves out of range.

Baitzilla is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Petrov is looking for a sweep. Baitzilla is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Baitzilla is trying to work for a kimura but Petrov is defending well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Baitzilla works his foot free and advances to mount.
Petrov manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Baitzilla is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Petrov is just riding it out for now. Baitzilla eventually gives up the hold.
Baitzilla is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Petrov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Baitzilla.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Baitzilla has Petrov pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Petrov manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Baitzilla is looking to break free of the clinch but Petrov has double underhooks.

That has opened up Patrick Baitzilla's cut even more.
Petrov lands a big knee! That's hurt Baitzilla! Oh, he's all over the place! Petrov lands another knee that sends Baitzilla to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
