PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Suon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kim Beasley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Suon comes into the arena with Seether blaring out of the sound system. Beasley comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bubblebutt - MOD kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kim Beasley!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beasley swinging wilding here.
Beasley wants to clinch up but Suon keeps it at a distance.
Nice sprawl there from Beasley as Suon shoots in.

Suon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Beasley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Suon in side control, throwing shots but Beasley defends.
Beasley prevents Suon from moving into mount.

Suon is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Beasley has escaped the position, nice work there.
Beasley is looking to get back to his feet here but Suon is keeping cool and he's managed to take Beasley's back.
Suon lands a shot to the body.

Suon is trying to control but Beasley is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Beasley is in all sorts of trouble here.

Suon stands up from mount. Strange move.
Suon slips under a jab from Beasley.
Suon is looking to clinch but Beasley is avoiding it.
Beasley lands a head shot.
Suon looks to land a combination but Beasley avoids it well.
Suon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Beasley circles away.
Suon is breathing heavily.
Beasley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Beasley throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Beasley instigates a clinch.
Beasley lands an uppercut.
Beasley lands a right hand that snaps the head of Suon backwards.
Beasley lands with a left to the head.
Beasley lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Suon wants a takedown.

A body shot lands from Beasley.

Beasley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Beasley lands with an overhand left.
Beasley throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Suon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Suon has gone for a leg lock! Beasley slips out almost immediately though and dives into Suon's guard.
Suon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Suon looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Suon trying to control from half guard but Beasley is working away.
Suon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Suon is looking to take a break and control but Beasley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Suon is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Suon working the head and body with strikes.
Beasley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Suon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Suon passes to full mount!
Suon trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Suon with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Suon moves to the back position.

Beasley showing good submission defense here.
Suon misses with punches from the back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Suon doesn't have the hooks in and Beasley manages to turn into his guard.
Suon tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Beasley tries to keep at a distance but Suon has taken the fight into the clinch.

Beasley drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Beasley is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Beasley scores with a shoulder strike.
Beasley misses with a hook from the clinch.
Suon wants a takedown but no success here.
Suon looking to throw knees to the head but Beasley is blocking nicely.
A short body shot lands from Beasley as the two fighters clinch.
Suon holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Beasley lands a shot to the body.
Beasley misses with some punches.
Suon drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Beasley gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Beasley lands on the inside with an uppercut.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Suon goes for a takedown in the clinch but Beasley prevents it.

Beasley prevents the takedown attempt.
Suon wants to break free but Beasley has control.
Suon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Beasley avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Suon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Beasley has him pressed against the cage.

Suon wants to control but Beasley is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Beasley prevents Suon from improving his position.

Beasley has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Suon works to full guard.

Beasley stands up from Suon's guard - Beasley perhaps looking for a knockout.
Horrible takedown by Suon or perhaps it was just good defense by Beasley which made him look bad.
Beasley punishes Suon's body with a nice straight punch.
Suon doesn't manage to clinch there - Beasley circles away.
Suon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Beasley swivels and escapes.
Beasley tries to clinch up.

Suon checks a low kick from Beasley.
Suon connects with a looping right hand.
Beasley circles away from the clinch attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Suon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Suon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beasley but Beasley pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jack Suon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Beasley drives through and clinches with Suon against the cage.
Suon wants to break free but Beasley has control.
Beasley lands with a left to the head.
Suon tries to score a body lock takedown but Beasley shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Suon pulls Beasley into guard.
Beasley pushing down on Suon's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Suon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beasley is working away from the top position though.
Suon tries to roll over but Beasley keeps him under control.

Suon gets back to full guard.
Beasley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Suon is keeping the position for now.
Beasley postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Beasley wants to stand and escape but instead Suon has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Jack Suon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Beasley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kim Beasley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Beasley shoots in and bounces Suon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Suon throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Suon working for a triangle but Beasley defends it easily.
Beasley prevents Suon from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Beasley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Suon takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Beasley throws a right hand that Suon ducks under and follows up with a left that Suon also avoids with ease.
Beasley waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Suon.
Beasley looks for a takedown but Suon sprawls well.
Beasley doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Suon counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Beasley's guard now.
Suon preventing the sweep.
Suon tries to stand but Beasley is controlling from the bottom.
Beasley is looking to stand up but Suon isn't so interested in that idea.
Suon wants to control from the top but Beasley keeps moving.

Suon works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Suon uses his free foot to push down on Beasley's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Beasley.
Suon looking to control and managing it successfully.

Suon goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Beasley turns into him and now he's in Suon's guard.

Suon looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Beasley passes into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Suon trying his best to control but Beasley has mounted him.
Beasley postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Suon looks a forlorn figure.
Suon is trying desperately to improve position.
Suon wants to hold on but Beasley pushes him away.
Suon tries to reverse the position but Beasley maintains control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Suon regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Beasley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Beasley's back!
Suon wants to control but Beasley is keeping busy.
I really don't envy Beasley right now.
Suon connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Beasley to escape the position.

Suon working for a choke but Beasley is defending well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Beasley is really stuck here.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Suon showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Suon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
