The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messersmith fakes the leg kick and cracks Davis in the body.
Davis avoids the head kick by Messersmith.
Davis swinging wildly here.
Messersmith is looking to land body kicks.

Messersmith lands a big head kick that sends Davis tumbling to the mat! Messersmith takes a step backwards and waves Davis back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Phil Davis has been cut.

Messersmith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Davis counters with a series of strikes. Messersmith will be more careful next time no doubt.

Messersmith is backing up but Davis catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Messersmith covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Davis Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
