The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roland keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hortons.

Roland closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hortons is not content to let Roland control the position.
Roland tries to stand but can't do so whilst Hortons controls his leg.
Hortons is looking to control Roland's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hortons avoid being mounted?

Roland seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hortons does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Roland lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hortons is trying to stand up here but Roland is controlling him well.

Roland seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

It looks like Tim Hortons has been cut.

Hortons is trying to maintain the position but Roland is very close to passing his half guard.
Roland lands with a punch from half guard.
Roland looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hortons with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
