Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vincenzo Ferrara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Milani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferrara's entrance music is Sons Of Odin (Manowar). A fine choice. Leo Milani will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vincenzo Ferrara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leo Milani!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferrara looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Ferrara sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Milani defending well though.
Ferrara perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Milani wants to get back to his feet.

Ferrara thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ferrara is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ferrara closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Milani to the mat! Milani manages to get full guard.

Ferrara drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ferrara jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Milani can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ferrara might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Milani utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Ferrara is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Milani is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Ferrara shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Milani napping and manages to drive through into side control!
