The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
the wonder fails to land the takedown.

the wonder shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Boy gets back to full guard.

Boy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. the wonder is aware though and is defending well.

the wonder avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
the wonder passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Boy is looking for a sweep.

the wonder is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Boy has escaped the position, nice work there.
Boy tries to improve position but can't.

Boy manages to work his way to half guard, despite the wonder's best efforts.
Boy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Boy is looking for a sweep. the wonder is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boy fails with the takedown

and the wonder decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Boy's guard.
Boy looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Boy looks gassed!

the wonder working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

the wonder stands up and waves to Boy to follow him.
the wonder misses with a takedown attempt - Boy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
the wonder feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Boy's calf.

and Boy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
