Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Quid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Yoda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quid's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Wicker Man. Yoda has chosen Star Wars Theme as his entrance music. Johnny Quid has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quid is looking to land body kicks.

Yoda is keen to just control but Quid is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Quid misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Yoda throws a nice looking combination but Quid bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Yoda closes the distance and clinches up with Quid, looking for a takedown. Yoda pushes Quid against the cage but Quid circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Yoda takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Quid throws a low kick but it's checked well by Yoda.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Quid wants to stand but Yoda has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Yoda wants to get back to full guard.
Yoda is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Yoda is trying to maintain the position but Quid is very close to passing his half guard.

Yoda sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Quid throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Yoda on the side of the head.

Yoda swings wildly with an uppercut but Quid uses good head movement to avoid it.

Quid tries to work over Yoda's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Yoda is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Quid throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Quid will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Master Yoda has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Horrible takedown by Yoda or perhaps it was just good defense by Quid which made him look bad.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Quid, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
