The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Tierre cracks McDonald with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
St Tierre throws a hook to the side of McDonald's head but McDonald sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
St Tierre misses with a two punch combination.
St Tierre attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McDonald is defended easily by St Tierre.
McDonald lands with a slapping head kick.
St Tierre moves out of range of the body kick from McDonald.
McDonald smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McDonald looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? St Tierre is fending him off so far but McDonald persists. Nope, St Tierre circles away and we're back to standing.

McDonald bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
St Tierre wants to control but McDonald postures up.

McDonald throws a strike but St Tierre avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
