Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Hook fails with the takedown.
Van Hook throws a low kick but West avoids it.
West looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Van Hook is fending him off so far but West persists. Nope, Van Hook circles away and we're back to standing.
Van Hook looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for West!
Van Hook cracks West with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

West bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

West throws a strike but Van Hook rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Van Hook accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
West is trying to control the position but Van Hook postures up.
Van Hook must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

West is looking for a triangle but Van Hook pushes his legs off easily.
West pushes a forearm under Van Hook's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Van Hook is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
