Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Borracha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Broady Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paulo Borracha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Broady Armstrong!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong throws a nice looking combination but Borracha bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Borracha tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Borracha fails with the takedown.
Borracha doesn't manage to clinch there - Armstrong circles away.
Borracha will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Armstrong circles away from the clinch attempt.
Borracha wants to clinch up but Armstrong keeps it at a distance.
Borracha falls off balance throwing a combination

and Armstrong counters with a takedown into side control.

Armstrong decides to stand up, so the ref orders Borracha to his feet.

Armstrong has taken the fight to the clinch.

Borracha tries to clinch up

and Armstrong counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Armstrong throws a sloppy head kick and Borracha moves out of range easily.

Borracha has had enough of the clinch but Armstrong keeps him there for the moment.

Borracha tries to stall but Armstrong uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Borracha tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Armstrong just stands there and leans against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Armstrong's face as he tries to break the clinch.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Borracha jumps guard but Armstrong stands there with Borracha around his waist. Borracha gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

and Borracha counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A nice leg kick lands there from Armstrong.

Armstrong goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Borracha takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Armstrong shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Borracha is trying to defend but Armstrong finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Armstrong stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Borracha to get to his feet.

Armstrong shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Borracha really wants to buck Armstrong off and get back to his feet.

Armstrong is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Armstrong swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Borracha gets underhooks to prevent Armstrong's takedown attempt.

Borracha keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Armstrong's efforts to push away.

Armstrong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Borracha throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Armstrong stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Armstrong counters with a nice low kick that buckles Borracha's knee momentarily.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Armstrong rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Borracha moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Borracha tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Armstrong smiles and moves away.

Broady Armstrong is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Armstrong has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
