The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blasted throws a head kick but duckingson moves out of range.
Blasted fails with an attempt to clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by duckingson.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

duckingson stands up.
duckingson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blasted is fending him off so far but duckingson persists. Nope, Blasted circles away and we're back to standing.

Blasted tries to bum rush duckingson with a series of wild strikes but duckingson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and duckingson counters by moving into the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Blasted looking for a sweep but duckingson has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Blasted keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
duckingson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Blasted's face.

duckingson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
duckingson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Blasted clinches but duckingson breaks the clinch
and duckingson counters with a left and a right that stings Blasted.
Blasted scores with a kick to the body.

duckingson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Blasted wants to control but duckingson is keeping busy.

Blasted is breathing heavily.
Blasted blocking the ground and pound attempt from duckingson.
duckingson is pressing down on Blasted's thigh, looking to free his foot. Blasted is holding on for now.

duckingson seems to be working for a kimura but Blasted defends the submission attempt.

duckingson is taking a breather. Blasted says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Blasted looks like he's trying to stand up.
Still in half guard, duckingson seems content to control.

duckingson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Blasted to get to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

duckingson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
duckingson is pushing down on Blasted's leg trying to pass to half guard. Blasted is fighting to maintain full guard but duckingson has managed to sneak the leg through.

duckingson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

duckingson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blasted doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blasted manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Blasted is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but duckingson has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Blasted is looking to defend but duckingson has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Blasted! duckingson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Blasted taps out and this one is all over!
