Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Huima Kostaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shikato Hiruko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shikato Hiruko!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Hiruko looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hiruko throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kostaja is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Kostaja rushes Hiruko and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Hiruko throws an elbow but misses.

Hiruko has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kostaja uses from the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hiruko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kostaja tries to avoid it but Hiruko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kostaja to the ground. Kostaja escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kostaja bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Kostaja drops Hiruko with a beautiful combination! Hiruko stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kostaja is looking for the KO!

It looks like Shikato Hiruko has been cut.

Kostaja cracks Hiruko with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hiruko looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kostaja finish him?

Hiruko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kostaja manages to avoid it.

Hiruko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kostaja manages to get himself to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kostaja is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hiruko is controlling him.

Hiruko might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kostaja kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Kostaja is looking to clinch but Hiruko is avoiding it.

Kostaja is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hiruko defends well.

and Kostaja counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hiruko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The crowd cheers as Kostaja lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hiruko doesn't seem phased though.
