There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jelk Samsamson!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samsamson tries for a takedown but Pietrovitch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Pietrovitch throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pietrovitch misses with a two punch combination.
Samsamson tries to bum rush Pietrovitch with a series of wild strikes but Pietrovitch uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pietrovitch smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Pietrovitch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Samsamson is defended easily by Pietrovitch.

Nikolai Pietrovitch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jelk Samsamson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Samsamson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Samsamson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
You get the feeling that Pietrovitch really doesn't like being in this position too much.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pietrovitch's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Samsamson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
I looks like Samsamson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Samsamson is stalling here but it's allowed Pietrovitch to get half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jelk Samsamson will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


No joy there for Pietrovitch, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looks like Jelk Samsamson has been cut.
Pietrovitch clobbers Samsamson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Nikolai Pietrovitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Samsamson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Samsamson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Samsamson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Pietrovitch fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Pietrovitch misses with the combination.

Pietrovitch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pietrovitch scores with a jab. Samsamson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Pietrovitch throws a nice looking combination but Samsamson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

enabling Pietrovitch to counter with a crisp jab.

Pietrovitch rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Samsamson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Samsamson counters with a big head kick but Pietrovitch shrugs it off.
Pietrovitch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That has opened up Jelk Samsamson's cut even more.

The fight stays on the outside here - Samsamson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Pietrovitch drops Samsamson with a beautiful combination! Samsamson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pietrovitch is looking for the KO!


Samsamson is rocked!
Pietrovitch connects with a stiff jab that staggers Samsamson - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
