Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casseus Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Casseus Garcia enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Severn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Casseus Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn misses with a straight left.

Garcia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Severn to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Severn won't allow Garcia to get back to his feet.
Garcia utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Severn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Severn controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Severn throwing strikes but missing.

Garcia working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Severn.
Garcia is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Severn throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Garcia works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Severn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Garcia!

Severn goes for an armbar but Garcia turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Garcia.

Garcia gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Severn will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Dan Severn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Severn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Garcia swivels and escapes.
Garcia throws a right and a left that Severn avoids nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Garcia throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Severn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Garcia cracks Severn with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Severn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Garcia paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Garcia defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Severn.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Severn. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Garcia keeps the fight on the outside.
Garcia lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Severn walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Severn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Garcia sprawls well. Garcia wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Severn gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice defenses there by Garcia.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Severn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Garcia avoids it really well and circles away.
Severn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Garcia but Garcia pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Garcia moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Severn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Casseus Garcia will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Severn tries to move into range but Garcia moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Garcia lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Garcia.
Garcia throws a right hand that Severn ducks under and follows up with a left that Severn also avoids with ease.
Garcia slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Severn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Garcia avoids it really well and circles away.
Severn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Garcia defends it nicely.

Severn fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Severn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Some bone on bone action there as Garcia checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Garcia avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Severn dodges the punch combination from Garcia.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Garcia throws a series of punches but Severn avoids them all with ease.
Garcia lands with a hook. Severn tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Severn tries to clinch up but Garcia circles away and keeps his distance.
Severn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Garcia misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A punch combination from Garcia misses.
Severn throws a low kick, looking for Garcia's leg but Garcia calmly moves out of range.
Severn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Casseus Garcia is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Severn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Severn tries to clinch there but Garcia circles away.
Garcia moves into range and connects with a jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Severn.
Garcia is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Garcia throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Severn.
Garcia lands a two punch combo.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Severn has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Garcia finds it's way round the side to connect with Severn's head.

Severn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Garcia's half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Casseus Garcia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Garcia has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
