The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chumakov moves into the clinch.

golodupcev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
golodupcev tries to pull guard but Chumakov holds him up against the cage and eventually golodupcev drops back down to his feet.

Chumakov works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chumakov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Chumakov lands a couple of digs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

golodupcev controls Chumakov momentarily but Chumakov frees himself.

golodupcev wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Chumakov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Chumakov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Chumakov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but golodupcev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Chumakov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. golodupcev can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

golodupcev tries to reverse the position but Chumakov maintains control.
golodupcev wants to control but Chumakov is having none of it.

and Chumakov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in golodupcev's guard.

Chumakov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so golodupcev is just riding it out for now. Chumakov eventually gives up the hold.

Chumakov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Chumakov is working to tighten is grip on golodupcev's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. golodupcev has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Chumakov is really squeezing tight and eventually golodupcev passes out! Chumakov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
