Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demian Gaea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bastian Schweinsteiger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaea comes to the ring accompanied by im a warrior. Schweinsteiger has chosen Son Kite - On Air as his entrance music. Bastian Schweinsteiger will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schweinsteiger misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gaea.
Schweinsteiger digs a good body shot into Gaea's ribs.

Schweinsteiger closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Schweinsteiger lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gaea tries to roll over but Schweinsteiger keeps him under control.

Schweinsteiger is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gaea doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Schweinsteiger.

Schweinsteiger is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Gaea is looking to control Schweinsteiger's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gaea avoid being mounted?
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Schweinsteiger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gaea tries to avoid it but Schweinsteiger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gaea to the ground. Gaea escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Schweinsteiger throws a right hand that Gaea ducks under and follows up with a left that Gaea also avoids with ease.
Schweinsteiger fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gaea avoids it really well and circles away.
Schweinsteiger misses with a wild body shot.
Gaea looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schweinsteiger is fending him off so far but Gaea persists. Nope, Schweinsteiger circles away and we're back to standing.
A combination from Schweinsteiger does no damage.

and Gaea counters with a nice double leg into side control. Schweinsteiger won't be happy with that.
Demian Gaea has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Gaea is breathing heavily.

Schweinsteiger tries to improve position but can't.

Gaea is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Schweinsteiger knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Gaea is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Schweinsteiger is just riding it out for now. Gaea eventually gives up the hold.
