Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lou Meatstock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Still D.R.E. Meatstock has chosen Eminem - Not Afraid as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jamal Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lou Meatstock!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Meatstock, as that shot connected.


It looks like Jamal Jones has been cut.
A cross from Meatstock lands.
Jones staying out of range there.
Meatstock fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones slips a jab and a cross from Meatstock.

Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jones trying to control the action but Meatstock is working from the bottom.
Meatstock tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg.

Meatstock avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones.
Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Jones looks to land a strike but Meatstock avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Meatstock swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones wants to control from the top but Meatstock keeps moving.
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Meatstock gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Meatstock throws a big right hand that misses.

Jones wants to sweep but no luck.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Meatstock stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Lou Meatstock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Jones postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Meatstock manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Meatstock in his guard.
Meatstock is stalling in the full guard.
Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Meatstock is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Meatstock throws a hook but Jones blocks it.
Jones tries to clinch there but Meatstock circles away.
Meatstock throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.
Meatstock misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Meatstock tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Meatstock to the ground. Meatstock escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Meatstock was covering up waiting for the punch and Jones finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones postures up in Meatstock's guard and throws a big left but Meatstock blocks it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jones lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lou Meatstock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
