The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGee has closed the distance and engaged Delamosai in a clinch.

Zanje Delamosai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Delamosai pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Delamosai is fighting off a takedown attempt but McGee is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Delamosai to the mat. Delamosai regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Delamosai had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McGee defends it easily.
McGee wants to get up but he can't break Delamosai's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
McGee has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McGee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McGee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Delamosai on the ground.

Delamosai escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Delamosai is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McGee is aware though and is defending well.

McGee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McGee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Delamosai swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McGee throws a sloppy head kick and Delamosai moves out of range easily.

and McGee counters with a nice low kick that buckles Delamosai's knee momentarily.

Delamosai is looking to sinch up a triangle. McGee throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Delamosai's body to avoid the submission. Delamosai has instead reached around McGee's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Delamosai arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
