The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhodes shoots for a double leg takedown but Rawlins sprawls well. He's pushed Rhodes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rawlins stuffs the takedown.
David Rhodes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rhodes.
Jenson Rawlins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Rhodes.
Rhodes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Rhodes shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rawlins manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Rawlins seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Rhodes stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Rawlins has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Rhodes manages to get his head free but now Rawlins has transitioned to an armbar! Rhodes grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Rawlins! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
