Hawkins comes to the cage accompanied by Shipping up to Boston. Mode has chosen i wish as his entrance music. Beast Mode has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkins shoots in looking for a takedown. Mode tries to sprawl out of it but Hawkins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mode manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hawkins throws a nice looking combination but Mode bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Mode scores with a takedown into Hawkins's guard.
Mode throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mode is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hawkins wants to sweep here but Mode controlling him for the moment.
Mode sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hawkins's guard.
Mode moves nicely into side control.
Hawkins is not content to let Mode control the position.

Mode is working to tighten is grip on Hawkins's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hawkins has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Mode is really squeezing tight and eventually Hawkins passes out! Mode breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
